When I was younger we used to play a game about what the first African American president would do for black people in this country and my buddies and I would come up with the craziest things. So its been six months since we made history by electing the first African American into office and personally I think he is doing a great Job. Honestly Kudos President Obama, my son now has a poster of you next to Lebron James as two of his greatest heroes. I didnt even make the top five but thats a story for another day.

I thought I would get political and play the what if game again, purely for giggles. So What if boaters had a political party and with our 70 million plus clout elected a boater president? What would the White House be like and what are the things he or she (yes am liberal) would enact in our interest as boaters?

1. Marine One would be a modest Azimut sports yacht for those weekend trips to Marthas vineyard and state dinner affairs.
2. Boating education would be a Curriculum for every school level starting with elementary school.
3. National Boating Day would be an official holiday.
4. Boats for clunkers, would mean trade everything motorized for a boat.
5. Boating season would run 365 days of the year.
6. Boat sales would be tax free.
7. Life Jackets would be mandatory for every boater.
8. A mandatory jail sentence for boating while drunk.
9. Speed limits on Boats depending on class and size.
10. Free Boat safety, boat parts, boat operation classes for all would be boaters.
11. Make Boat Insurance mandatory.
12. Make Boating while drunk offenses affect driver licenses.
